Yes. You can
to our mailing list here. We’ll let you know by email or text when properties matching your criteria become available.
2. I’m currently renting a property with another agent or landlord but I want to rent through Alan Ives. How do I switch?
You can sign up to our mailing list now to get information and updates on available properties. Once you’ve gone through the notice period with your current landlord or agent, you can rent with one of our properties

4. How do I find out about availability?
Find the right property through viewing our currently
available properties here
. Once you’ve found one you’re interested in, call us to arrange a viewing or to reserve the property.
5. How and when can I view a property?
Once you’ve found a property you’re interested in, give us a call to arrange a viewing at a time that suits you. We’re open 6 days a week - Monday to Saturday.
6. Can I have a pet?
Yes you can for certain properties. Call us now to find out whether the property you are interested in allows pets and if so, what types.
7. Are the properties furnished?
Most of our properties are unfurnished, although some come furnished. You can find out whether a property is furnished by looking at the property description located within the advert. If you’re not sure, give us a call.
8. How do I secure a property?
Once you've found the property you want you will be asked to pay a holding deposit equivalent to 1 week's rent. This secures the property for you while references and signing the tenancy agreement are sorted out. This amount is then deducted from your security deposit.
9. What are the renewal fees?
We don’t charge our tenants any renewal fees.
10. What references are required?
We will need photo identification, employment information and a reference from your employer and a previous landlord (if you’ve had one). We will also undertake a credit check. If you need a guarantor, we will need the same references from them.
11. What's included in my rent?
If your property is managed by Alan Ives, the rent will include our property management service, including prompt resolution of any issues by our team and local contractor network.
12. What other monthly costs will I have to pay?
Alongside the rent you will need to pay for utility costs such as heating, electricity and water, and you will also need to pay Council Tax.
13. What happens if I need to change sharers?
No problem, so long as every adult occupant is named on the tenancy agreement. If you need to change sharers, let us know by email or telephone.
14. What do I need to pay when I move in?
When you’ve signed the tenancy agreement you will need to pay a security deposit, which is equivalent to 1 month's rent. You will also need to pay the first month’s rent in advance.
15. When can I move in?
You can move in as soon as the tenancy agreement is signed and the monies have been received.
16. What happens if I have a problem?
Our experienced team is ready to help with any problems that arise. They can be contacted by phone or email. Whatever the issue they are there to help resolve it as easily and quickly as possible.
